OVERVIEW

The Franklin Research Internship Program (FRIP) is an intensive, six-week summer program that engages highly motivated, high-achieving high school students in interdisciplinary, university- level research.

Each six-week session includes a three-week training period designed to prepare students for conducting an in-depth, individual research project. Students can choose their research topics based on their personal interests, and we will match them with mentors who specialize in the chosen field. Students will receive intensive readings and assignments to build foundational knowledge and skills. Additionally, each student will work with a project manager and two mentors to develop one or more research outputs.

STEM – Engineering (EE/CSE/ME), Sciences (Data Science, Bioinformatics, Environmental Science, Physical Sciences, Life Science), Game Design, Mathematics.

ECONOMICS / BUSINESS / HUMANITIES –Business Data & Analytics, Entrepreneurship & Start-up, Economics & Management, Finance & Investment, Marketing, Accounting, Politics, History, Psychology.

Our mentors come from top academic institutions and world-leading labs, each with expertise in various fields. Biology-related research projects are guided by professors with research interests in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Molecular Cloning, Epigenomics, Bioinformatics, Ecology, and Computational Biology. For Engineering research projects, our professors have backgrounds in Electrical Engineering, Energy Management, Energy Data Analytics, and Machine Learning Modeling. In Science and Data Analysis, our professors specialize in areas such as Math, Physical Science, Comparative Analysis, Statistics, and Predictive Modeling. Research projects in Economics, Business, and Humanities are led by professors with expertise in Political Science, International Relations, Sociology, Anthropology, and Psychology.
